Simulator technology
Imagine the power of a domesticated hurricane, concentrated in a monumental glass cylinder. The beating heart of RealFly is a state-of-the-art wind tunnel, where four ultra-efficient turbines generate a powerful vertical airflow, faithfully recreating the sensation of freefall, but without the constraints of altitude or piloting.
Construction of RealFly Sion began in April 2013 and took almost a year to complete. Standing 24 metres high, the RealFly “wind tunnel” is Switzerland’s first indoor freefall simulator, and can accommodate up to four people in flight simultaneously. The 4.35-meter-diameter flight chamber consists of a set of 5-meter-high glass walls, with a ride height of 14 meters.
Flight preparation
Each participant is carefully prepared by our certified and experienced instructors. You’ll receive a briefing, learn the basic flying techniques, the moves your coach will show you during the activity (raise your head, bend your legs, stretch your legs, relax, smile :P) and the essential safety instructions. Equipped with a wetsuit, helmet, goggles and earplugs, you’ll be ready for an unforgettable experience that ends with a personalized certificate and, if you wish, photos and videos of your session.
